LC Bolts

Listing of all nuts and bolts used on the 250 and 350 LC. This Excel spreadsheet gives you a list of all the bolts and there thread size, you can then use to order a full set of replacements. The only thing you need to do is decide on the head type you require.

Some tips and tricks I have found useful during the restorations I have completed.

1 Try and get hold of die nuts and taps, these will be useful for cleaning threads but not actually re-cutting the thread.

2 Always use a lubricant when using a tap or die nut, you can clean up after.

3 When finally assembling the bike always use "Copper Slip" on the threads, except when you use a thread lock fluid.

4 Never presume a thread size just by looking, Yamaha use 10 x 1.25, 10 x1.5, 8 x 1.25 and 8 x 1.0 thread sizes.

5 I found it useful to have a known selection of nuts and bolts with there size labelled on them to use as a method of establishing a thread size.

6 Just because a thread has stripped doesn't mean its beyond repair, you can always try using a helicoil to save the part.

7 Torque settings for all the bolts.
